Summary
- The Business Development Executive reports directly to the Commercial Manager and works as part of the Business Development & Client Support team in Kuala Lumpur.
- This role drives business growth to achieve annual revenue targets, supports the establishment of contracts and sales, and builds long-term Client relationships.
- Responsibilities include delivering high-quality technical sales support, ensuring effective service implementation, and supporting Clients across Malaysia.
- The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter with excellent English communication skills, able to network with technical personnel in Operating Companies, and comfortable presenting to Clients.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, proactivity, and flexibility are essential.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business and revenue growth plans with the BD team to meet annual targets.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities through research, planning, and networking.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for partnerships.
- Expand and manage a pool of industry consultants through networking and engagement.
- Meet regularly with clients to ensure satisfaction, provide technical support, and drive business development.
- Promote and support our International Principal’s specialist services by targeting opportunities, pursuing sales, and providing follow-up support.
- Review ITBs/RFQs, assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals, and provide input on contract terms and clarifications.
- Source qualified candidates for projects through database searches, networking, and job advertisements; manage recruitment administration and CV databases.
- Prepare Sales Pipeline updates plus Principal Overview Reports and present to BD Team weekly.
- Oversee company marketing initiatives, including website, brochures, and social media.
- Stay current on industry trends by attending events, engaging in professional networks, and reading relevant publications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in technical sales within the offshore oil & gas sector.
- Familiarity with Petronas Procurement systems, ITB documentation, and contract reviews.
- Proven success across the full sales cycle, including deal closing.
- Experience working effectively within an integrated team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel.
